Post #99- Thursday is the New Friday

I've become slightly more acclimated to the new workplace. Although I still wander around confused and slightly lost, I'm starting to understand the responsibilities and duties much more.

I finally have my desk all set up, the only thing I'm lacking is an actual phone line.

Since a handful of us have tomorrow off, we treated tonight like a low key Friday night. I went to the mall, bought myself some goodies as a treat, and after some mellowing out, we went out for a few drinks at Yardhouse to celebrate Pig's peppy-ness and my first work week (although it was a 3-day work week).

Day #2.

Less stressful, and things are starting to make a lot more sense. Throughout the meetings today, I actually understood and followed what people were talking about!

Prime Rib thanks to jay and syl, cornbread stuffing, and a nice glass of wine to end the night. Twas and early night for me. I was still kind of drained, and figured getting some extra sleep wouldn't be a bad idea.

Day 1 at the new job. After exactly two months of unemployment, today was my first day back at the daily grind.

After a ton of introductions, I got introduced into what my job role really consists of. Talk about overwhelming!! So much to absorb it was slightly draining...I got home, had a glass of wine, and was completely beat.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to rub it in...winner winner chicken dinner!

Twas a beautiful day today...almost 90 degrees according to my car. Today is my last day of unemployment...I tried to enjoy it as much as possible by taking a book to a near by starbucks, but it was way too hot for my to sit out there longer than minutes.

New season of The Hills tonight!

Due to the late night last night, Pig and I didn't wake up til a little past 1pm!!! Talk about a lazy Sunday! (Bacon) Cheeseburgers for lunch and slothing around the rest of the day.

Post #94 - Bursting the Irvine Bubble

Tobaybay was in town for the weekend and Ken had organized a small get together. We met up for a yummy dinner and drinks at Honda-Ya and followed with drinks at Beechwood

Tonight definitely wasn't as crazy as our night outs back in SF, but it was really nice to get out of the Irvine bubble for a chill night on the town. The last time I saw Toby was probably months ago in SF and even though Ken lives 45 minutes away, I barely see him either! It was a good night...I was sad that the other girls didn't make it out though. But there's always next time! :)

Post #93 - Easter Egg Fun

After being slightly hungover this morning, I decided to make my day a productive one. Did a few loads of laundry at home and then came and did some of Pig's laundry. Aren't these Easter eggs adorable?? I wanted to buy them to put some knick knacks in, but for $3 a pack, I decided against it. I want to keep my April expense report at clean as possible!

Nolan grilled up some yummy steaks and Pig made some Korean stew w/ extra rice cakes. yummmmy. A few glasses of wine and Atonement completed a low key Friday night. :)
