Feeling 10x better this morning thanks to a ton of sleep over the weekend.

Typical Monday morning craziness today, made even more hectic thanks to Black Friday recapping and hindsighting. This along with all the other Monday responsibilities made for a busy day that flew by without me noticing. Love busy days like these!

Today I busted out my fobby Peach Aloe drink and got so many inquires about it. The American race is definitely missing out on the Asian beverages! Yummy!

Going out last night was a baaaaaad idea. Having a street dog probably was a worse idea.

I got home at a reasonable hour last night, took some Tylenol Cold to get rid of that pesky stuffy nose, and woke up today at 2pm! I felt 10000x better. Thank goodness for cold medications!!

I woke up today feeling miserable. I slept until almost 1pm, woke up and had some jook, and then went back to bed from 3-530. Wow. Nevertheless, I dragged myself out of bed and got ready because Ali, Bri, Christine and I were going to the Warriors game!

I haven't been to a Warriors' game since they were in the playoffs! Tonight's game was against the Lakers, and I am the biggest Laker hater around, so it was a big game for me. :) It was a ton of fun even though they lost, they were playing horribly the entire game!!

After the game I was convinced that I should stay home for the rest of the night. That didn't happen. B picked me up and we went to Icon to meet everyone else up and to celebrate Jill's birthday with her! We got there the same time as Ali & Bri...the trifecta! :D Good times, and as Shelly would say....it was like a solar eclipse because all 8 girls were out! Please excuse the creep in the background.

Yes, I worked today. And since our office was technically closed today, our team worked in stores. Not just any store, but our Flagship store in downtown San Francisco. It was quite the struggle waking up after such a big feast last night, but the remainder of the day flew by. Business was good and traffic was heavy- all signs pointing to company profitability! By the time I got home and changed, it was time for dinner with B's family already. We enjoyed a yummy Chinese dinner at Hong Kong Flower Lounge for his sister's birthday.

Afterwards, we went over the SSF house for the annual Thanksgiving Potluck with the homies. We arrived late, but still got to enjoy some of the delish food and partake in some good old inebriation. Always a good time with friends, I can't believe we've done this every year for the past 10 (or so) years. By around 2am, the house was already clearing out- last year people stuck around until 4-5am! *sigh* we're getting old.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I am so thankful to have such amazing people in my life. Supportive friends and family are what makes you who you are. I am lucky to be blessed with the life I have!

We enjoyed (another) Thankgiving feast at my cousin Eric & Cindy's house. More delicious food & good times with the family. The best part was seeing my cousin Eric give his two year old son Evan the turkey leg. Evan chowed down on it & polished it off all while holding a roll in the other hand. What a cutie!

Yes, that is a turducken, complete with the bacon wrapping. Turns out, its quite delish!

After work, B and I went over to G.Mak's place for their annual thanksgiving dinner. They do it every year with their homies, but this was the first year I attended. Talk about a true Thanksgiving feast! They cooked up three turkeys (smoked, roasted, and turducken), and trays and trays of homemade sides. I was quite impressed with their cooking abilities! We left very full & satisfied. Thank you Gordon!

Wandered around the city for a little bit and then ended up back at home...falling asleep to  The Office.

Today we had a office party to send off my manager- tomorrow is her last day after 10 years with the company. I have only been working with her for a little over a month, but she has been an amazing mentor to me and I will miss her. She had one of those bubbly personalities that you can't NOT like.

After a toast, some cake, and of course a lot of laughs, we headed a block down to Palomino's to continue the festivities of Thirsty Tuesdays/Going Away for her. We had a few drinks and munchies and I headed home. Taking Muni home after business hours is a different experience, it's a little creepy even. I walked the few deserted blocks to the Muni station and was the only passenger on the train. Weird.

Post #327- Working in the Dark

I get into work at 7:30 on Monday mornings. Our office has these timers for the building lights and they do not turn on until 8am. So I worked in the dark for half an hour- enjoying my morning coffee and reading news/gossip blogs in between running reports. :)

Another lazy Sunday.

I felt like staying in bed all day today- partially because I was exhausted from yesterday and partially because it was chilly. I hate when it's so cold that your feet feel like ice cubes. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, B woke me because he had made me some breakfast! We bummed around in PJs for the majority of the afternoon, pausing to watch some football and eat lunch that B had made for me as well. Lucky girl, I know :)

Finally got presentable and went on a grocery/snack run to Sunset Super :) Gotta love Asian snacks and candy!

Weekly dinner with the fam & Grandma. My Aunt made hot pot tonight....yum! Perfect for a chilly night.

Happy Birthday Jane!
Girls dinner @ Little Star Pizza

Productive morning today- early AM haircut, breakfast (at a real breakfast hour), furniture shopping, roaming around the pier, and finally....a night out with the girls.

Jane is in town for the week, so the girls got together for a combo birthday dinner for Jane and I. We waited almost an hour to be seated, but I highly recommend this place for a casual dinner. The Chicken Pesto Pizza was my favorite dish along with the Caprese Salad, which I normally don't like, but it was delicious here! Skip on the Garlic Bread though- it was sliced sourdough bread, with butter and roasted garlic on the side. Not exactly what we were thinking.

After dinner we went back and forth trying to decide what to do. Somehow we ended up joining a birthday party of some of the girls' friend's. We hoped into their birthday limo, sipped some champagne, took in a pretty awesome view of SF, but opted not to join their festivities at Mighty. Instead, we got a ride back to the Mission where we finished off the night at Bruno's.

Always a good time with them. :)

Post #324- Time to Build an Arc!

Some quick shopping with B after work and then burritos & 2012 with Collin & Kimi.

I have mixed feelings about the movie. Although it's not supposed to be real, I found it to be very unrealistic. The effects were really cool, but the story line was kinda eh.....I can't decide if it was worth sitting in a theater for 2.5 hours.

Meet Wang.
Wang wrote me a pretty awesome birthday blog (here). He took a picture with Piglet as promised and a ton of pictures at the Hello Kitty exhibit in LA for me. So in return, I am going to write a blog about him.

I first met Wang back in 2005 when I was visiting Irvine. He brushed me off as another breezy and I thought he was some cocky fool. Ha. Who would've known that 2 or 3 years later we'd be kickin it ALL the time. He introduced us to RA- our favorite degenerate spot, Cal Beach- our spot for Friday Payday Funday, Sho Chiko Bai, and introduced us to some "Wangisms" such as "you will die!!!" "I LOVE my friends" and "Holan". I remember we once partied everyday for a week...I don't know HOW, but we did. Good times.

Besides being fun, Wang can also be a SUCKA as well. Once I passed out and he colored my whole foot with a black Sharpie marker. My ENTIRE foot. Jerk. As you can tell from the above pictures, he is a HAM. He loves the attention...he will even admit that. He puts up this front as tough guy, but he's a softy deep down. He is very easy to talk to and will tell you the straight up truth even if it's not what you want to hear. He kept it real with me and became a very close friend when I was living in Irvine. In fact, he was our "guy on couch" when John and I lived together.
It's been about a year since this fool packed up and left us behind. He moved to Boston to pursue a career opportunity. As much as he hates it there, he's sticking it out- and has big plans to move to NY in the near future. He comes back to visit ALL the time though- it's like never left! It's probably cuz he misses us THAT much. Actually its probably cuz he misses his girlfriend and this fool-
Hurry up and visit us in SF sucka!

Post #322- Another Reason Why I Love My Job

I only joined the company about a month ago, but I can see why people love it so much. We recently relaunched our denim program and the company wanted to reward everyone that put into all the work to make it happen. They hosted an event on the 15th floor....the top floor of our newest building in what they called "The View Room". It was amazing- all three walls were floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the Embarcadero.  We sipped "blue jean cocktails" and champagne while munching on delicious catered appetizers.

It feels really good to have such a large company that appreciates you. Although I didn't have any involvement with the project, I can't believe the company would do something like this to show how much they value their employees. Awesome.

It's been 5 years since we all moved out of our pretty house on Bernini Drive in Davis, CA. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. We were all (except Maya :( ) able to find free time to get together for a casual dinner at Toyose. We laughed and reminisced about the good and bad times we had living together...including Ali scaring Joe when he was taking the garbage out, to "house meetings", and gambling for underwear on your head. Hahaha...good times, looking forward to the next one. I miss college...

Days like these call for some serious ice cream! :)

Even though we got home at 4:30am last night, we were still able to wake up at a decent hour without any hangovers. Some yummy foccacia for breakfast....super fresh since we were in North Beach! It's the middle of November, but it was a gorgeous day in San Francisco. Clear and crisp. Just the way I like it!

Ran some errands with B for the rest of the afternoon & called it a night with dinner with the fam.

Thank you everyone for the all the amazing birthday calls/texts/fb/IMs. You are all so amazing...I feel so loved! <3

I had lunch with my parents at Sam's Chowderhouse in Half Moon Bay. It was a gorgeous day out and the food was delicious.
Later in the evening B picked me up and I was surprised by a box of Kara's cupcakes from Niko & Daniel! They are so thoughtful....Niko always finds a way to surprise me, even all the way from Irvine :) I miss you Niko!!!!

B cooked me a delicious birthday dinner tonight! Salad, steak & creamed corn....yummy! I haven't had his cooking since he left Irvine 2 months ago, so this was definitely a treat! :) Afterwards we got ready and headed over to his new place so that we could just walk to Sutra. The walk took us about 10 minutes. Awesome!

So glad that Andrew & Tom wanted to carry on November birthday tradition this year. Thank you everyone for coming out to celebrate with us. I truly appreciate it & loved seeing your lovely faces. Until next year!

Today was miserable. MISERABLE.

Our team at work spent a few hours in the afternoon helping out at the Embarcadero store. Luckily, we got to go home early and I was able to catch a quick nap before having a movie night with B. Attempted to watch 2012, but sadly it was sold out already. Instead, we caught The Boondock Saints 2. I didn't really know much about the story line, but I guess someone's fascination with guns somewhat rubbed off on me and this movie made me want to give the shooting range another try hahahaha.

On another note,
Happy Birthday Tom & Stef!!!!
