Post #12 - So You Had a Bad Day..

The long drive home. I am still 10000 kinds of beat up today. I woke up with a sharp pain in my stomach- no, not due to that time of the month or diarrhea thankyouverymuch. It lasted the entire day, not to mention the body aches that start to kick in during the afternoon. On the drive home, I hit a ton of traffic for no reason what so ever! It took me 40 minutes to get home. ugh. What a great way to start the week huh.

On a more cheerful note, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my friend Christine! We were roommates almost throughout college. I know she probably won't read this, but I hope she has a wonderful birthday! :)

I think that I just don't do well with cars. All I wanted to do was go to the Spectrum Apple Store to have them check out my battery. I return to the parking lot to find a deep scratch on the back passenger door! Not just a scuff, but a GASH- taking of layers of paint. I'm not really sure HOW it happened, but somehow someone managed to pretend nothing happened and left it there w/ no note. I hope karma comes around and bites them in the ass. So technically this occurred yesterday, but I felt bad for my car, and plus it was filthy, so today I gave it a wash and a wax. After seeing it clean, the gash isn't THAT bad, but it still is going to cost me to repaint it. GREAT. haters.

After waking up with a massive hangover from last night, ventured out to the Irvine Farmer's Market. I've lived here for about 1.5 years and never thought to check it out. We got there a little late, but the vendors were still stocked and there were still crowds. Lots of fresh organic fruits and veggies, baked goods, and other vendors. Yum! It definitely can't compare it to the SF Farmer's Market, but I still left content with bags of fresh fruits. :)

And here is a little something for your entertainment from last night (keep watching...there are some awesome dance moves towards the end):
This is the result of us finishing off an entire handle of Crown. Not recommended.

Post #9 - Only in Orange County

Louis Vuitton recently launched a new line of bag in ode to Stephen Sprouse, the designer along side Marc Jacobs responsible for the successful graffiti logo/mod line of Louis' that were launched in 2001. The new line is adorable! I love the graffiti rings and especially adore this Speedy bag- the pop of color from the florals would be perfect for spring! :) Check out the entire collection here.

....and leave it to Orange County to post this story about Louis Vuitton in their news.

Happy Friday!

Post #8 - Movies, Wine, and Hard Boiled Eggs.

Ah, its Thursday, which means the weekend is almost here. Tonight after getting the my mane aka my hair cut and eating another yummy dinner, we poured a few glasses of wine and decided to watch "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". It surprisingly was not as scary as it sounds, it was mostly about the lawsuit regarding the failed exorcism. I have a love/hate relationship with scary movies- I like watching them to get scared, but the aftermath makes for a really scared Lauren. During the movie, Vinh and Brian decided to make hardboiled eggs, and as you can tell from the picture, Vinh really enjoyed his!

Post #7 - Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (almost)

Crybaby Kobe

Warriors: 114
Lakers: 106

Warriors, you disappoint me. As much as I love you, you held the lead almost throughout the entire game, and in the last six minutes, you let it all fall apart! Monta, when are you coming back??

Okay so I didn't take this picture, but it was just a reminder of what the Warriors are capable of. :)

Post #6 - Corporate Jibber Jabber

Today was Boss lady's birthday at work, so a bunch of us got in early and decorated her office in a princess theme, complete with a castle backdrop, kiddie princess jewelry, and a froo foo crown. Birthdays always = a lot of bad eating. That same morning there was another birthday for which we had bagels and pastries followed with boss lady's birthday desserts in the afternoon. Sugar overload ALL day.

Coming home from work today, I saw one of the scariest accidents. There were about 5 cars involved and a motorcycle. It happened about three cars ahead of me. It seemed like a car skid and hit the motorcyclist. The motorcycle skid across the freeway hitting another car, making it spin parallel to traffic. Luckily there was no chain reaction to this, but as I crept by the scene of the accident, I saw one person limping and the motorcyclist was laying unconscious on the side of the road. There were cars that stopped to help as well. I hope everyone was okay! Drive safely everyone, and remember that texting and driving is against the law now. :)
