Chilly nights call for cozy toe-socks!

Today is my friend Matt's 27th birthday. Unfortunately we lost him eight years ago...I still think about him at times, and I will always remember his goofiness and ability to turn any situation around. We've been friends since the 3rd grade. Miss you Matt <3

We attempted to wake up early to get some fresh Focaccia at Liguria Bakery since it is only a few blocks away. Instead of 9, got up at 10. Got to the bakery at 10:30. SOLD OUT. Mission: FAILED.

Instead we walked to Chinatown and picked up some baos and dim sum for breakfast. Love it! Breakfast for two for less than $5. SCORE.

Decided to make a quick trip with Collin & Kimi to Ikea. Ikea is always fun for me, but this trip was rushed since I had to be back in time to help my parents set up our Christmas tree. The power shopping paid off though, B left with a new couch! Yippee! Finally some seating!

Today was a super eventful day.

We got up pretty early (for a weekend) and walked B's commute to work downtown. It was a chilly morning, but the walk wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. After he did a little work, we got a quick breakfast and roamed downtown until it was time for.....

New Moon!!!

Oh my gosh. I really didn't enjoy the first movie because I felt like they left a lot of the story line out of it. I've read the entire Twilight series, and must admit that I was pretty skeptical about this one. Of course B had refused to take me to see this since it came out in theaters, but luckily Lauren & Kimi were fans. We squealed like little school girls over Edward and scenes of Jacob shirtless. Ohh-la-la!

Some more quick shopping and then it was time for my sister Jen's birthday dinner. A comforting dinner at Ernesto's- an old school Italian restaurant in the middle of Asia Town aka Clement Street. The food was nothing like yesterday's Italian food, but it still gave me a cozy-homecooked-meal type of feeling. She loved the new watch that my parents & I got her!

From the moment we left the restaurant, B was consistently eating! Talk about a Piggy! Met up with some friends as a Chinese restaurant on Clement and finished off the night with a newly dubbed "RomCom"- The Proposal. Cute movie :)

Today was a good day.

Post #338- Friday Couldn't Have Come Faster....

Pretty Christmas Tree in Union Square

I've never been SO glad today is Friday. This week has been nothing other than CRAZY. Good thing about it is that time completely flew by. Today was pretty chill as my work load was moderate and left me enough time to join my team in Christmas shopping for our Adopt-a-Family. We left work around lunch time to shop around at Old Navy. We found some great holiday deals and pick up outfits for the family members we had signed up for. Since we were there, we did a little shopping for ourselves and checked out the new Old Navy jewelry line. They had receently launched a jewelry line in select stores- SUPER CUTE! Glad we stopped by- I picked up some necklaces and earrings to accessorize my NYE outfit :)

After sneaking out of work a little early, I went BACK downtown to pick up a few more baby gifts at the Flood Building. Some quick browsing in other stores with B and then headed back to his place. Quickly did some freshening up with waiting for Collin & Kimi to get there. We walked around B's new neighborhood in search for something yummy to fill our stomachs with. With a recommendation from his sister, we decided to check out Da Flora. It is a old school restaurant that had a cozy family feel to eat. The food was absolutely delicious! The Sweet Potato Gnocchi and the Homemade Tagiatelle w/ Fresh Cracked Crab are MUSTS!

After stuffing ourselves, we walked down to Cobb's Comedy Club to check out Arie Spears. I had never been to a comedy show because I never thought I'd enjoy it. Shoot, I didn't even know who Arie Spears WAS until tognith! Turns out it's pretty fun...he was funny and really entertaining. We also spotted Turiaf and Morrow from the Warriors outside of the club :)

Walked back to B's place and called it a night. It's sooo convenient being able to walk places! :D

Yup, today is Plaid Thursdays!

Today's treat was a sugar lover's dream- a fully stocked candy bar! Thank goodness, because after a day of training, a sugar fix was definitely necessary.

Post #336- It's Starting To Look A Lot Like Christmas....

Isn't this tree awesome? It's like a girly Charlie Brown Christmas tree!

My coworker brought in this in for her desk and I absolutely LOVE it! It adds some fun to our department. :)

How is it December already?!?

Some of the cadence at work changed around this time of the season so it has been pretty hectic at work today as we have different teams/employees in and out of the office. It was exciting for me though, still being fairly new to the company at all, but I enjoy the hustle and bustle of things this week. Most of the time this means earlier mornings and/or longer nights, but it's definitely been worth it so far.

One of the best perks of living at home is that my parents take such good care of me. When I was younger I know I took a lot of that for granted. Now I appreciate it sooo much. I get home late from work and my parents saved me a yummy dinner, all ready to just be heated up. Gotta love em!
