Oh my god...I've never missed home SO much until today. We woke up bright and early and muni-ed it down to the Ferry Plaza for some wandering around and lunch. After sampling tons of fruits/candy/salsas, etc...it was Hog Island for lunch! Oysters, clams, champagne, and some of my favorites...definitely a good way to start the morning! After lunch I met up with the fam and we went down to Palo Alto for some shopping and a pre-Mother's Day dinner at Tamarine. My family always does a Mother's Day brunch, and this time we wanted to try something different.
I got home after dinner, took a 5 minute power nap, a few Advils and gathered up my second wind for a night out at Brunos. Mobbed it in the Volvo station wagon (a peek of our lives 5 years from now), had a few (too many) glasses of champagne, harassed Nick until he got me a street dog.....and got mustard stains all over my jacket.
