Fully recuperated, I woke up with the excitement of day time activities! Today we were going to go to the OC Fair. Everyone down here has been living in the OC for a least 8 years, and yet none of them have ever gone to the fair! I love fairs and convinced Pig, Niko, Tudo, and Vinh to take a trip this year.
We got there a little after noon, and immediately gorged ourselves on fair food- turkey legs and giant western sausages with peppers and onions. Later we sampled the sweeter things the fair had to offer- strawberry funnel cake and chocolate covered bacon. Chocolate covered bacon....who wouldve thunk? Surprisingly it was quite tasty, a mixture of sweet and salty. We combed through the fair grounds, found beer vendors, got 25cent foot massages, played a handful of games, and watched the Alaskan Pig Races. Pretty much everyone knows we've got this things for pigs, so this made it the highlight of the fair for me! They were such cute little suckers! I want one!
The sun definitely drained us of most of our energy, but we built up second and third winds to preparty with Corry for his birthday eve. Lots of beer and a lot of drinking games later, my energy level finally started to drop and was forced to call it a night. End of a long, eventful day :)
